Texas Roadhouse- Idaho Falls

Texas Roadhouse Icon
So a roommate and myself went here last night. When we first got to the restaurant, we were shocked at how packed it was! There were so many people waiting to be seated. We were expecting that it would be a long wait and that we would have to go someplace else to eat dinner. We only waited for a few minutes before we were able to be seated. During the time that we waited, we sat and helped ourselves to the complementary peanut barrels. Because of the nature of the establishment, the clientele just toss the peanut shells on the floor.

The food that we got was delicious. I got a half rack of ribs for about $11 and the meat was so succulent. The meat literally fell off the bone without effort. The sauce on the ribs was tangy yet sweet in nature. Quite a nice touch to the delicate meat. My roommate got a combination plate with steak and BBQ chicken that cost around $17 for all of the "bells and whistles" for the meal. Quite good as well from what I was told. The steak fries that we both got with our meals were the right balance between crispy and softness. Not only this, we were also given complementary, fresh out of the oven rolls. They were so soft and had a natural sweetness. Included with the rolls was some honey butter which was a nice touch to them.

The service from our waiter was exceptional. He was a enthusiastic, energetic, man that wanted us to have a great experience at the restaurant. He also invited us to participate in wishing other patrons a happy birthday Texas-Style. This was shown even further with the atmosphere in the restaurant. Lots of stained wood and western décor makes one feel quite comfortable yet the excitement is prevalent throughout the entire establishment.

Overall, this is a great mid-cost restaurant for the overall experience. The atmosphere is great, the cost is average, the amount of food that you get is generous and it is not a bad place to go for a one-on-one date or group outing!
